The aim of the Modern Foreign Languages Day was to raise the awareness of the importance of being able to speak another language in today’s multicultural society. It gave both staff and students the opportunity to work together as a team to create a market stall with an activity linked to the country that they were allocated.
There was an array of stall ideas and the decorations were fantastic. Ideas ranged from throwing pizza at Mr Beasley, guessing teddy bears’ names and much more. The start of the afternoon multicultural market place was marked by a balloon launch celebrating both MFL Day and the great outcome from our recent Ofsted inspection. Afterwards, students were either visiting the market place or watching a stunning production of dances from different cultures put together by Miss Clarke, Miss Evans and their dancers.
A huge thanks to all staff and students for their amazing efforts and support throughout the day which made it a success.
