Two of our art students recently had their work selected to show in a prestigious London gallery.
Sharna Potts and Ashley Jackson have just completed an ‘A’ level Fine Art course at the school and some of the work they created during this time was entered, and selected, for ‘The 13th National Students Art Exhibition’ organised by the Royal Society of British Artists.
The exhibition was held in The Mall Galleries, London and the students got to travel to London to see the show along with their Art teacher, Becky Thompson and receive certificates from the Royal Society of British Artists.
The standard of work at the exhibition was phenomenal and both Ashley and Sharna were over the moon to have their work included. It was a really inspirational exhibition that has encouraged both students to continue to paint and exhibit their work when they start their courses at University next year. Ashley will be studying for a degree in architecture at Bournemouth University and Sharna is training to become a Primary School specialising in SEN & Art at Derby University.
‘I am very proud that two students that have worked incredibly hard throughout their time at Moreton School have had the opportunity to display their work in such a fantastic location with Artwork that was to an amazing standard.’
Miss Thompson, Head of Art.
